entrance shed light on a number of issues affecting Halton Estate, Hastings, including regeneration and it's relationship with art, privilege and value. A selection of dull or devalued stuff found whilst litter picking, including wayward clothes pegs and hair grips, broken toys and twigs, discarded wrappers and ring pulls, was modified to create intricate motifs and repeating patterns. This captivating sequence of visual harmonies illuminated and swept across the footpath, invited residents and visitors to enter a place of wonder and beauty, and contributed to promoting a more positive identity for the area.
